We passed our home study!!

Once I got home from Boise I had to get back into the routine of work and to get ready for our home study which we passed!!  We went camping that weekend to celebrate with our friends in passing our home study and moving on to the next step in finding our baby!

(I did however forget to charge my camera battery so this is the only picture we took.)

After work Brad, Lindsey, Jordan and I drove to Pleasant Lake which is about a half hour from where we live to camp for the night.  We roasted hotdogs, made smores and Jordan made his famous dutch oven cobbler.

After dinner Brad taught us the card game of scum so for the rest of the night we listened to music and played cards by lantern light.

The next morning we packed up and headed home.  Brad and Lindsey had a birthday party and we had a ward activity to attend.

It was a very quick trip but worth it.  We had so much fun and loved being outside.
We feel so blessed in where we live, our friends and the path adoption is providing for our little family.

We are so happy!!
Monday it was girls day!

Dakota stayed home from daycare and was able to spend all day with her Aunt Brook.

Poor thing was not feeling well with a double ear infection but was still all smiles.
We had such a fun time together.

Later that day Ella invited me to watch her and Kresimir in their gymnastics class.

Kresimir is very strong and has amazing balance.  Ella is a natural and loved every minute.
I might be a little prejudice but I think that they were the best in the class.

Sunday family dinner

Sunday family dinner was spent...

Being silly...

Celebrating my birthday...

Look closing and you will see Maya's handprint in the cake. I couldn't help but laugh after she wanted to  help with the other kids to blow out the candles.

Being cute...

Instead of helping with the cake Maya decided to walk into things with a bowl on her face.
Silly kid!

Learning about everything dinosaurs...

Beckham taught me all about dinosaurs, read me a dinosaur book, and even reinacted a fight between a
T-Rex and a stegosaurus.

Just another perfect Sunday with the family.

Go Sharks!

While in Boise the family went to watch Kresimir play t-ball with his team the yellow sharks.

Play ball!

He already has a lot of fans to cheer him on.
Beckham in training.
(Not sure if he is training Ella or she is training him.)
He LOVES baseball and has an arm on him.  He is going to make a great baseball player.

After the game Kres ran up and gave me the biggest hug.  I loved that!!
I can't wait to come back to visit, to see the boys and watch more t-ball games.

Dylan Gregory

Meeting Dylan for the first time!!!

This is how he looked for the majority of the time.  Snugly, sleepy and so adorable.
Bur occasionally he would open his eyes and check out what was going on.
Such a handsome boy!

Beat Coach Pete

For my birthday this year I flew home to Boise for a few days to visit my family!

Saturday morning Ella, Amber, Shane, Dakota and I went to watch Kylee run in the 'Beat Coach Pete' race. The featured racer is Coach Pete of the Boise State football team. It's your chance to see if you can indeed "Beat Pete." And if you Beat Pete, you'll receive a year's worth of bragging rights! All runners who beat Coach Pete have $5.00 donated to the Boise State general scholarship fund.

Ella was very excited to be on the blue turf where the 'REAL' Boise State football players play.
She had to call Poppy (Grandpa) to tell him where she was.

Dakota checking everyone out waiting for Mom.

Coach Pete and Buster Bronco

Smurfs!  Ha ha ha.

Kylee!!
She didn't beat coach Pete this year but did awesome.  We are so proud of her.

Giving Coach Pete a high five.

Brook and Ella, being silly.

I love spending time with my family and loved being able to be there to support Kylee in her race.  It was such a good way to start my trip.

Happy Easter!

Our Easter weekend was pretty quiet. Jordan and I went shopping at the outlet mall after I got off of work on Saturday and then spent our night at home with pizza and a movie.

Sunday we went to church in the morning and then Jordan invited Brad, Lindsey and her sister Chantel over to our house for Easter dinner.

We had chicken, potatoes, asparagus and a strawberry salad.

For dessert Lindsey and Chantel brought over cupcakes.

Introducing the newest member to Lindsey and Brad's family....Tiger Lily.
Tiger is so sweet and such a good dog.
After dinner we played a few games of bags until it got too dark.

Then we enjoyed the cupcakes.  Yum!
Sometimes it is nice to just stay at home with the people you love.

Projects...

I have an old bookcase that was passed down to me, it had a few nicks and scratches but was over all in pretty good condition.

I decided to sand it down and re stain it.

After sanding it down I came inside to wash my hands.  I had no idea that I was COVERED in dust!

Here it is after!
The lighting in the room makes the stain look a little weird but I stained it in mahogany and then painted the back panel in a teal/grey color.  This is the same color paint that I want to use when I refurbish a dresser to tie the colors together.

Up close look of the color of wood.
While I was working on the bookcase, Jordan finished his BYU bags game for Brad and Lindsey.
They loved it and we played a game when we gave it to them.  Bags is such a fun game.

Now on to the Boise State bags game for us.
