Jordan and I spent a soggy day in Jackson, WY. We went to several art galleries and shops, ate lunch at Bob's, a great local diner, watched the wild west gun show they put on in the streets and spent most of our time trying to stay out of the downpour of rain that came in unexpectedly.

Legacy Flight Museum Air Show
Saturday morning Jordan and I got up early and went to the watch the Legacy Flight Museum air show. It was a free event for the city which as married college students we especially enjoyed. We went to the park, sat on a blanket and watched the airplanes twist and flip in the air. It was a great reason to get up early on a Saturday.

Darby Canyon
Jordan and I had planned a weekend to go to Jackson, WY. Our trip didn't turn out as planned but we had a really great time hiking in a beautiful canyon and spending time with our friends.
We went with a group of friends who wanted to stop in Darby Canyon to hike for awhile. On our drive to the canyon Jordan spots out of the corner of his eye, a farmer rolling his tractor. We immediatly stopped. Jordan and our friend Jake jumped out of the car, climbed the barbwire fence and help the unconscience man until police and an ambulance arrived. It was a small delay but we were glad that we were there and able to help someone in need.
By the time we got to Darby canyon it was later than we anticipated. We hiked for four hours. Jordan and I hiked to a waterfall and the rest of the group tried to hike to the wind caves at the top of the canyon. After hiking we were tired, cold, wet and hungry. We stopped at a local pizza restaurant and then headed back home.
I have to admit I was disappointed that we didn't make it to Jackson this weekend. But our detour was worth it.
